The SID is an organization that nurtures the next generation of
physicians and scientists. We recognize that today’s residents and
fellows are the men and women who will become the future members,
directors and officers of the SID. Therefore, it is a primary goal
of the SID to offer programming for residents and fellows that will
help shape and enhance their careers. Programming currently includes
advocacy training programs, educational tracks, volunteer
opportunities and chances to exchange ideas with other residents and
to meet experienced researchers in the field.
The Annual Meeting is a perfect place for residents to present
research, meet with colleagues, network and learn the latest in
research, products and services. In fact, the Annual Meeting’s
largest attendance category is the Resident/Fellow category, with
500 residents and fellows attending annually.
