Postdoctoral Position at the NIH in Signaling mechanisms regulating epithelial stem cell biology and cancer
A Postdoctoral research position is available at the National Cancer Institute (NCI-NIH, Bethesda, MD, USA), in the group of Dr. Ramiro Iglesias-Bartolome at LCMB starting October 2021. Our laboratory research focuses on elucidating the signaling mechanisms that control and drive tissue specific stem cell self-renewal and differentiation and their connections to tumor initiation and growth using the skin as a model system. Qualified applicants will join ongoing studies on signaling events in epithelial stem cell fate decisions and cancer by using mouse and cell line models and single cell RNA-seq. The candidate will have access to state-of-the-art genomic, proteomic, and imaging technologies.

Postdoctoral applicants should have a doctoral degree within the last 2 years with a solid background in cell biology, molecular biology, or similar field. Previous experience in mouse models, skin biology, cell signaling, cancer biology or bioinformatics is desirable.
