The Department of Dermatology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC) invites applicants at all ranks for full-time tenure-track faculty positions to join our Irving Center for Skin Cancer Research. Candidates holding a MD, MD/PhD or PhD are being recruited to lead basic and/or translational Skin Cancer research programs and candidates pursuing approaches with relevance to precision medicine and/or immuno-oncology are especially encouraged to apply.
The incumbent will have a primary appointment in the Department of Dermatology and will be a member of the CUIMC Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center. Candidates at the Professor or Associate Professor level should have a demonstrated track-record of leadership, excellent communication skills and productive publication record and will be expected to sustain an outstanding, extramurally-supported research program and multidisciplinary collaborations.
Successful candidates will be joining a Skin Cancer research community that emphasizes combining basic and clinical research, patient care and teaching. Current research interests in the Department of Dermatology include (but not limited to): skin biology, immunology, epidermal differentiation, skin stem cells, signal transduction, skin cancers (both non -melanoma and melanoma), mouse models of skin cancer, immuno-oncology, complex organotypic skin modelling, data warehouse and systems approaches, and clinical research.
