You can join the SID by selecting the membership category below that best suits you and completing the online application.  Your SID Membership will expire 1 year from the date you join.  You will receive an email reminder 30 days prior to your expiration date.

Active Member ($300)

Auto-renewal and multi-year options now available at the Active level!

Active membership is open to any scientist whose work has relation to investigative dermatology or cutaneous biology and any physician with an interest in skin diseases or allied subjects.

Active members may hold elective office, serve on committees, vote at SID meetings, receive all publications of the SID and attend all meetings.

Patron Member ($500)

Auto-renewal now available at the Patron level!

All Active members may be designated a Patron Member of the Society upon payment of dues as established by the Board of Directors.

Patron members may hold elective office, serve on committees, vote at SID meetings, receive all publications of the SID and attend all meetings. A portion of your Patron level dues helps underwrite programming and reduced memberships for our Resident/ Post Doctoral Fellow members.

  • Annual subscription to The Journal of Investigative Dermatology (a $972 value), the 4th-highest ranked dermatology-related journal in print;
  • Invitations to educational programs and social events
  • Eligibility for SID Grants and Fellowships

SID/ESDR Joint MEMBER ($125)

Membership in the SID/ESDR Joint Category is open only to full members of the European Society for Dermatological Research. Membership in this category is pending verification of a valid ESDR membership.

SID/ESDR Joint members receive the following benefits, but may not hold elective office, serve on committees or vote at SID meetings. Invitations to educational programs and social events

JOIN THE SID
RESIDENT/POST doctoral fellow Membership ($75)*

Any individual engaged full-time in a training program in dermatology or a basic science related to medicine shall be eligible for Resident/Post-Doctoral membership for the period during which he/she remains in that status providing this period does not exceed five years.

Rights and privileges are the same as for Active Members, except that Resident/Post Doctoral members cannot hold office other than as a resident/post doctoral member of the Board of Directors. A letter from the Chairman/Advisor is required for this category of membership.
