The laboratory of Dr. Angela Christiano in the Department of Dermatology at Columbia University is seeking a highly motivated post-doctoral research scientist with background and interest inimmunology, genetics, the microbiome and skin autoimmune and inflammatory disorders.
Research projects include characterization of immunological responses, gut microbiome, T cell dynamics, single cell RNAseq and TCR seq, antigen identification and epigenetics in the context of the autoimmune disease, alopecia areata. The lab works with both human biosamples and mouse models of disease.
The Department of Dermatology at Columbia University is an exciting multidisciplinary workplace with excellent resources. We are seeking creative and highly motivated individuals interested in working in a dynamic research environment, where they will have the opportunity to gain diverse basic, pre-clinical and clinical research experience.
Prospective applicants should have a PhD, MD or MD/PhD in immunology, genetics, molecular biology or related discipline. Applicants should also possess strong laboratory, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills. Computational skills, including RNAseq analysis, are a plus.
